A Commitment to Compassionate Care

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here.

Whatever brought you to this page, thank you for showing up for yourself today. That alone is a meaningful first step.

Welcome to Rise Counseling, where healing is a personalized journey. My name is Stephani and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Clinical Supervisor based in the state of New Jersey. In 2020, I founded Rise Counseling, LLC, with a commitment to individualized care and the understanding that there's no one-size-fits-all solution to healing.

Prior to founding Rise Counseling, I worked in a variety of treatment settings with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Across these experiences, I began to notice a common thread underlying many of my clients’ struggles: grief. Grief is not limited to the loss of a loved one. It can emerge through changes in identity, relationships, unmet expectations, childhood experiences, or the life we imagined for ourselves. Often, grief goes unrecognized, quietly shaping the way we relate to ourselves and others. My work focuses on helping clients uncover and process these hidden losses so they can better understand patterns in their lives, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with greater clarity and compassion.

In 2022, I became a mom for the first time myself, and that experience deepened my work in ways I didn't expect. Walking through my own transition into this new role of motherhood gave me a personal understanding of the identity shifts, grief, and growth that come with something so profound. It's part of why supporting parents and grieving hearts has become so central to what I do.

I'm also dedicated to continuous education, expanding my knowledge to better support the individuals and families I work with. I'm currently in the process of obtaining my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C), which represents specialized training to provide appropriate care to individuals and families throughout the perinatal period. My passion lies in helping clients create space for these experiences, so we can look at them together with compassion and curiosity.

At Rise Counseling, you're not just another client; you're a unique individual on your path to healing and self-discovery.
